Update: CDC’s Proposed Dog Importation Regulations

Dear Members,
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recently advised the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) that while they are maintaining communication with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there are no new updates to report at this time.
The CFIA remains dedicated to closely tracking the situation and will promptly inform us of any significant developments as appropriate.
The CFIA has expressed appreciation of the CVMA’s continued involvement in this important matter, particularly our ongoing collaboration with partners and colleagues across Canada and the U.S.
The CVMA will continue to keep members updated accordingly.
