The Contest Is Now Open!
Now’s the time to make your mark on the national CVMA Wellness and DEI+ Accessibility Program. Your creativity will help us find the perfect, meaningful name that is reflective of our program’s goals.
The program aims to help all veterinary professionals achieve healthy, sustainable, and meaningful careers, while working with resilient teams in flourishing workplaces. The program is built on and incorporates Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI), Accessibility, Cultural Sensitivity, and Psychological Health and Safety Principles. Learn more about the program here.

Think big and reflect on what wellness, DEI, and accessibility in Canadian veterinary medicine means to you.
View the criteria below to guide your submission.
Criteria:
- Relevant: The name should clearly convey the positive mission of promoting wellness, DEI, and accessibility within and amongst the Canadian veterinary community.
- Memorable: The name should be easy to remember and pronounce in both English and French. It should have a positive and lasting impact on those who hear or read it.
- Inspirational: The name should inspire and motivate veterinary professionals to participate in and support the program.
- Brief: Ideally, the name should be concise, not exceeding a few words.
A diverse panel of judges will thoughtfully review and evaluate all entries based on the above criteria and ensure the name is unique and not already in use by an existing veterinary wellness and DEI program to ensure a balanced and fair selection process.
All entries will be automatically entered into a random draw for a $100 gift card and the selected winner will receive a $250 gift card of their choice.
The contest is only open to CVMA members and students. Participants can submit more than one suggestion. Contest and gift card winners will be notified of their success via email. Gift card recipients and the contest winner will be shared as part of the CVMA communications strategy and program launch.
