CVMA Member and Staff Veterinarian Dr. Shane Renwick Awarded WVA Global Veterinary Award

We are pleased to share that Dr. Shane Renwick, CVMA Manager of National Issues, has won one of six World Veterinary Association global awards. Dr. Renwick was nominated under the Medicine Stewardship category for his substantial contribution to antimicrobial awareness and responsible use, specifically through the Stewardship of Antimicrobials by Veterinarians Initiative (SAVI). This included collaboration on the development of Firstline app to provide point-of-care access to the CVMA Veterinary Guidelines for Antimicrobial Use.
Dr. Renwick has been invited to attend the 2024 World Veterinary Association Congress in Cape Town, South Africa where the award ceremony will be held. Congratulations to Dr. Renwick!
