Canadian Students Excel at Animal Welfare Assessment Contest

Canadian students are known to shine at the American Veterinary Medical Association’s Animal Welfare Assessment Contests®, and this year was no exception. Canadian students and veterinary colleges were presented with a total of seven awards at the event which was held from November 22-24, 2024 at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, U.S.
Veterinary Student Division
Interactive Assessment Top Placing Team:
- Atlantic Veterinary College, Team 1
Overall Team Placing:
- 1st, Atlantic Veterinary College, Team 2
- 2nd, Ontario Veterinary College
- 3rd, Atlantic Veterinary College, Team 1
Graduate Student Division
Interactive Assessment Top Placing Team:
- University of Guelph
Overall Individual Placing:
- 3rd, Anna Nicklas, University of Guelph
Overall Team Placing:
- 1st, University of Guelph
