The Intervet Schering-Plough Award, instituted in 1985, consists of $1,000 cash award and a plaque. It was established by Intervet Schering-Plough Animal Health to further enhance progress in large animal medicine and surgery. The award is presented to a veterinarian whose work in large animal practice, clinical research or basic sciences is judged to have contributed significantly to the advancement of large animal medicine, surgery and theriogenology, including herd health management.
