2012 CVMA Awards Nominations Extended until March 1!

Each year, the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association grants awards to individuals and groups to recognize their contribution to veterinary medicine. In the November issue of The Canadian Veterinary Journal, a summary of the awards and information on the nomination process are published. An awards nomination form is also inserted in the CVJ. We are extending the deadline for all CVMA members to nominate deserving candidates for the following awards:

Members of the CVMA are invited to submit nominations for the following:

• CVMA Humane Award
• CVMA Industry Award
• Merck Veterinary Award
• Small Animal Practitioner Award
• CVMA Honourary Membership
• CVMA Life Membership

Nomination Process

To be considered, candidates must be nominated by a CVMA member. Good documentation is essential. Nominations should include a description of the work done by the nominee, a statement of how the work has contributed to the profession in his/her area of expertise, a relevant bibliography (if available), and suitable biographical information.

Award recipients are approved by CVMA Council at its spring meeting, and a written confirmation will be communicated to the recipients.
