Animal Health Week, October 5 - 11, 2008 - It’s a Celebration!

Each year, during the first week of October, veterinarians and veterinary clinics across Canada promote animal health and responsible animal ownership as part of Animal Health Week (AHW).

Animal Health Week is a national public awareness campaign organized by the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA).  Veterinarians and health care teams Canada-wide are invited to participate.

Fletcher's Creek Animal Hospital

During Animal Health Week, many veterinary clinics across Canada will be hosting open houses, holding photo contests, clinic tours and more. Some veterinarians will be visiting school children to talk about animal health care. Animal owners are invited to contact their veterinary clinic and to consult local newspapers to become informed of AHW events taking place in their community.
