Mandate of the CVMA Student Liaison Committee

To represent the CVMA at all four Canadian Colleges and strengthen the links between the CVMA and its student member by:

• Providing guidance to and attending local student SCVMA meetings at the respective colleges.
• Participating in a joint meeting with the Senior SCVMA Members from the four colleges (at the annual CVMA convention).
• Participating, along with the president, in the annual lab coat ceremony and SCVMA symposium.
• Giving a annual presentation on CVMA initiatives/activities as well as the importance of belonging to a professional organization.
• Distributing the "Guidelines for the Successful Employment of Recent Graduates" to senior students.
• Making students aware of speaker availability on specific topics such as pet food certification, benchmarking, etc.
• Welcoming students to the profession at the graduation ceremonies for the 4 colleges.
