CVMA Executive is mandated to oversee the management of the association. The responsibilities of the Executive can be summarized as follows:
to propose an annual budget to Council (consider level of expenditures, revenue targets and requirements for fee increases).
to oversee the administrative and financial management of the association (review of cheques, investments, program and management matters). Executive members receive the monthly reports of CVMA finances prepared by the CVMA office.
to advise the President on the execution of his duties as chief elected officer.
to delegate cheque signing authority, as appropriate.
to hire and evaluate the work of the Executive Director who reports to Executive through the President. All other staff members report to the Executive Director.
