Mandate of the CVMA Environmental Advisory Group

The CVMA Environmental Advisory Group will primarily advise the CVMA’s National Issues Committee (NIC) on environmental issues that affect the veterinary profession.

The responsibilities of the Advisory Group are as follows:

  • To profile and promote the role of veterinarians as stewards of the environment.
  • To advise the CVMA on environmental issues relevant to veterinary medicine, including advice to members, governments and/or other professional associations.
  • To promote environmentally safe and sustainable veterinary practices.
  • To develop and implement strategies to promote veterinary knowledge and contributions to forward planning on environmental issues.
