CVMA Applauds Ottawa's Ban on Strychnine Poison Used to Kill Wolves

The Pest Management Regulatory Agency of Canada (PMRA) will be banning strychnine. Read the announcement here.
The CVMA presented to PMRA and wrote a letter to the Health Minister regarding our concerns with the intense suffering caused by strychnine and compound 1080. The CVMA applauds this decision but will continue to advocate for the prohibition of 1080 to address animal welfare concerns.
