Vetoquinol N.-A. Expands Longisil Recall

 

Health Canada is advising Canadians that Vétoquinol N.-A., the distributor, has voluntarily expanded the December 2009 recall ( http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/ahc-asc/media/advisories-avis/_2009/2009_212-eng.php ) of the prescription veterinary drug Longisil (DIN 00461679) to include one new lot, due to an unusually high number of reports of allergic reactions in animals treated with this lot.

 

Products affected by the new recall:

  1. Longisil, Lot # 0083 (0083-01) – 100 ml vial
  2. Longisil, Lot # 0083 (0083-02) – 250 ml vial
  3. Longisil, Lot # 0083 (0083-03) – 500 ml vial

 

Products affected by the December 30, 2009 recall:

  1. Longisil, Lot # 9224 (9224-01) – 100 ml vial
  2. Longisil, Lot # 9224 (9224-02) – 250 ml vial
  3. Longisil, Lot # 9224 (9224-03) – 500 ml vial
